Kudrin: Russia behind economy digitalization leaders by 4–5 times
MOSCOW, May 19 (PRIME) -- Russia lags in economy digitalization by three to four times compared to advanced countries, Alexei Kudrin, chairman of the board at the Center for Strategic Research, said on Friday at a meeting.
Digitalization modifies technologies and management models, and “the most important thing is that it brings in completely new productivity, which we lack today,” Kudrin said.
Companies are moving towards the digital economy by changing their business models and becoming data-centered with more digital services. The government should follow suit, he said.
“In order to effectively perform its tasks, the government should also join the process and adapt to the ongoing change,” the official said.
